There was a day when the nine-feet-wide sidewalks of downtown Williamsburg couldn’t meet the need. Shoppers and talkers poured out onto Main Street, making their rounds around downtown from the moment breakfast ended ‘til the dinner bell rang--with weather permitting, of course . Without doubt, downtown Williamsburg was where the community came together.

Today, Williamsburg’s Main Street Program is working hard to restore the area’s former glory. Through Rock-N-Roll Block Parties and seasonal celebrations, citizens have come flocking back to the heart of Williamsburg.

Overwhelming community support and government grants have breathed life back into downtown, and for that, the Main Street Program thanks the citizens for their continued support.
